The Ashnil Aruba Lodge was established in May 2008, situated by the banks of the Aruba dam. The dam was constructed in 1952 for recreational activities in the Tsavo East National Park. The lodge is accessible by a 5-hour drive from Nairobi or a 2-hour drive from Mombasa. The Voi gate is located 30km away, while the Buchuma gate is 40km away from the lodge. The lodge has various water points that attract wildlife to drink and cool off in the sun.
At Ashnil Aruba Lodge, there is a spacious restaurant with a beautiful view of the dam that can accommodate up to 150 guests. The chefs are highly skilled and can prepare international, oriental, and traditional African dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The bar is well-stocked with a variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. While enjoying your drink, you can watch the animals roam around. Special meals can be arranged with advance notice.
The Ashnil Aruba lodge boasts African-inspired accommodations, with 40 deluxe rooms and 6 luxurious tents available. Among the deluxe rooms, 8 are inter-connected, 4 are triple rooms, and 2 are designed to be wheelchair friendly. Each room comes equipped with a wardrobe, an ensuite bathroom complete with bathtub, shower, and toiletries, a fan, a safe box, mosquito netting, park views, a balcony, a hairdryer, terraces, sunbeds, and a seating area.
