Cotters 1920’s Camp – Masai Mara is located 1km from Masai Mara national reserve in southern Kenya and Loliondo conservancy in northern Tanzania. It is situated in a 7608 acre private Olkerdesi conservancy. It is owned and managed by the oldest safari family; Cotter’s family and currently being run by the 5th generation. This bush villa is portrayed by the bygone era style of 1920’s and furnished with modern amenities of todays world. It has travelers and professional guides of high qualification in Africa. Cotters 1920’s Camp – Masai Mara has 11 tents. 2 honeymoon tents, 5 double tents and 4 family tents. family tents have an open living room besides a fireplace that offers warmth for the families. There is a private tent that has living room, dining area, viewing deck, 25m pool, and 5 ensuite bedrooms that makes it suitable for larger families and large groups. All tents have privacy and well spaced with neat pathways . This elegant villa is furnished with 1920’s wall furnishings, antiques, oriental carpets, 4 poster beds, dressing room, porcelain, crystals, sepia photographs on the walls, flush toilets, washbasin, walk in shower, mosquito nets, outdoor verandahs overlooking the vast savannah grassland and the Olkerdesi hills, romance under the cream canvas marquees.
Cotters 1920’s Camp – Masai Mara has 2 mess tents that are used for dining and lounging. The large tent is fixed with elegant armchairs, chaise lounge placed closely with the hardwood tables , floor rags and sepia photos on the wall while the small tent is positioned next to the pool and is mostly meant for special occasion. These serene place gives you the space for dining, reading, drinking and relaxing. It has its form of communal dining or bush meals where chefs get to prepare excellent food. Meals are locally sourced and most ingredients are from the organic garden.
Cotters 1920’s Camp – Masai Mara has the most unique activities you will experience. These activities are such as; all female conservation unit, raptor rehabilitation, pangolin project talk, wild dog talk, medicinal plant walk and talk, Mara predator project experience, e bike tour, reforestation seed dispersal bush walk, stargazing, game run with the Masai guides, professional photography and bush bath all at a certain fee.
