Elephant Pepper Camp is one of the private camps found in the Mara north conservancy. It is 45 minutes flight from Wilson airport Nairobi and 2hr flight from Mombasa. The airstrip transfer from the Mara north airstrip to the camp will take you 30minutes while from Musiara airstrip will take you 1 hr. It portrays the name elephant pepper because of its adoring nature and location in between the groove of fig trees and elephant pepper trees.
Elephant Pepper Camp has 10 tents inclusive of 8 safari tents and 2 honeymoon/ family tent. The safari tents includes 4 double rooms and 4 twin rooms all with Indian raj campaign furniture. Mixed with dark woods with intricate brass fittings, the tents gives a classy and elegant look and they are widely spaced for the purpose of privacy. The 2 honeymoon/family tent is set up in the edges of the campsite. They have master bedroom and a living room which can be turned to a children’s bedroom incase of family use. Made of darkwood furnishings and vintage fittings, these tents have lush bathroom with double wash basins, flush toilets, cold and hot water running showers, ensuite bathrooms and a private verandah that opens up to the vast view of the savannah plains.
Elephant Pepper Camp has a cosy lounge and a fantasying dining area where you get to have your communal meals. The food ingredients are locally sourced and some grown in the campsite organic garden. The chef will make you mouth watering Italian, International and local cuisine as you finish up with a drink of your choice.
