Governors Il Moran Camp is a traditional and permanent camp owned by the collection of governors’ safari camps. This small and intimate camp is hidden under the ancient deep forest along the Mara river 4.8km from Masai Mara Musiara gate. This 4 star campsite is rated among the silver eco rates by the ecotourism of Kenya. It can be accessed by the governors aviation in Nairobi airport and the nearest airstrip is the Musiara airstrip.
Governors Il Moran Camp has a dining and mess area that offers a birds eye view of the snorting hippo below. You can relax by the sunken fire pit as you slowly sip the drink of your choice be it beer, house wine, soft drinks or non premium spirits. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and cow hide arm chairs that you can unwind and let your thoughts float at during the hot afternoons. Enjoy a continental breakfast/ full English breakfast, al fresco lunch buffet, and an ala carte dinner. With surcharges you can be offered with bush meals for more dining experience.
Governors Il Moran Camp has 10 spacious tents that are lined along the Mara river banks. These rooms are well placed with dark chunky wooden table, oversized blue coaches, colorful beaded chandelier, tribal portraits, African artefacts, private verandahs, ensuite bathrooms, large shower twin n basin, flush toilets, cola and hot running water and toiletries.
