Kilima Safari Camp is a luxurious tented camp located near the Kimana entrance gate of Amboseli National Park. It sits on a hilltop that offers splendid views of the park and Mt. Kilimanjaro beyond. The camp is approximately 230km from Nairobi, which is a 5-hour drive, 85km from Namanga, which is a 2-hour drive, 110km from Emali SGR, which is a 2-hour and 30-minute drive, and 15km from Amboseli airstrip, which is a 20-minute drive. The camp runs on a schedule for power generation, which is from 5am- 9am, 12pm- 3pm, and 6pm- 12am.
At Kilima Safari Camp, you can enjoy delicious meals at the main dining area or the open-air dining area. The chefs are professionals who use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to prepare both international and local delicacies. If you plan to go on a game drive, you can request packed lunches, snacks, and hot or cold beverages. The tree house coffee desk is the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. There are two bars that offer a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, open throughout the day.
At Kilima Safari Camp, there are 72 tents available. Out of these, 50 are classic tents which have both double and single beds along with a large private balcony. There are additional 10 superior tents that come with a four-poster double bed and bigger bathrooms featuring lion claws bathtubs. Moreover, there are 12 cottages with both double and single beds along with a private balcony. All the tents are of luxury, deluxe and cottage types. The standard and Milima tents are fully furnished, spacious and open to a wooden patio. They also come with mosquito nets, private bathrooms and safe boxes. While the standard tents offer a swimming pool view, the Milima tents face the animal water pool and public areas.
