Kitich Forest Camp is a lowkey camp that is hidden in the edge of the Ngeng river. It is located in the forest glade on the upper slope of the Mathews mountain(Lenkiyio hills). Kitich Forest Camp is hidden deep in the forest making it to have a remote and pristine wilderness atmosphere. You can access it through Samburu Kalama airstrip or a private charter to the Ngelai airstrip, which is a 30 minutes transfer to the camp. It is an 8 hour drive through the town road of Wamba since the camp is on the eastern frontier of Maralal town.
Kitich Forest Camp has 6 tents under the dense canopy of groove fig trees, indigenous flowering shrubs and prehistoric cycad palms. It can only accommodate 12 guest at a time who are well welcomed by attentive low key camp staffs. There are 3 double rooms and 3 twin room fitted in with a soft linen, comfortable beds, ensuite bush bathrooms, bucket showers, and flush toilets, and all are exposed to the breathtaking views of the Ngeng River. You can also choose to sleep under the African sky on your fly camping. Enjoy ice-cold drinks and delicious meals on your decks as you silently and calmly level down your eyes to the spectacular views of the animals around you and the chirping birds.
