Lewa House is found in the heart of the Lewa conservancy. It is set on a hill top with expansive view of the rolling hills, Mt Kenya view to the south and the sacred mountain, Mt Ol Ololokwe to the north. Lewa House is an owner operated and owned by Sophie and Calum Macfarlane whom this has been their family house for the past 5 generations. It is always closed on April and November.
Lewa House has an elegant building at the center that hots the sitting area and the fire place in one end and a dining area at the other end. The house is tucked in a lawn and you can enjoy an al fresco breakfast but the lawns. Guests have an option of dining varying from private to communal. Enjoy a drink in hot afternoons by the pool side and cocktails and snacks during your sundowners.
Lewa House has 10 small and intimate room divided into cottages and Earth pods. Lewa House family cottages are part of the original house built in a traditional Lewa style with rough stone walls, thatched roofs and furnished with rough hewn, ensuite bathrooms and hardwood furnitures. This rooms have a double bedroom and a twin bedroom though they share a verandah. Earth pods have curved walls, indoor showers, though 3 of them have outdoor showers open to the African skies, and hairdryers. The maximum capacity of guest is 18.
