Lewa Safari Camp Overview

Lewa Safari Camp is a luxury safari camp found on the northern foothills of Mt Kenya in northern Kenya. It is owned by the Lewa conservancy and managed by the Elewana collections. Lewa Safari Camp is surrounded by 65000 acres of the protected conservancy. Initially it was a private family ranch, a home to a rhino manager and was owned by Craig’s. It is 1hr from Wilson airport and 40 minutes away from the Lewa main airstrip. Lewa conservancy has very strict vehicle rules and only authorized vehicles are allowed within the Conservancy. Visitors arriving by road have to be collected from the Conservancy headquarters Road transfer in Elewana vehicle to/from any of Elewana’s other Northern properties or Nanyuki (travel times between 2 and 5 hours).

Lewa Safari Camp has a comfortable lounge and dining area fitted in with comfortable sofas and a library where you can relax and read a book. The food and drinks at Lewa Safari Camp are of high quality, and the camp is committed to using locally sourced ingredients and catering to guests’ dietary requirements. Guests can enjoy a range of dining options of local dishes or international cuisine and relax with a drink either beer, wine, spirits or cocktail at the bar after a long day of game drives and activities.

Lewa Safari Camp has thatched roof tents with ensuite bathrooms, comfortable beds, private verandah, flush toilet, hot water shower and blended in white, beige and neutral colors. There are 11 ensuite tents that are classified into double and twin beds and 2 family tents with 2 ensuite bedrooms, one regarded as a double room and the other as a twin room. Rooms can accommodate an extra bed making it triple, for children under the age of 16. Ensuite tents have a private verandah while the family tents have a shared verandah but they are all exposed to the panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
