Loldia House is located in Loldia Ranch, an old farmhouse built by Italian prisoners in early 1940s and owned by Betty Hopcraft. This original Kenyan home is 15 minutes drive from the Loldia airstrip and 2 hours from Nairobi. This old farm is on the north-western shores of Lake Naivasha. There are activities such as rock climbing, hiking, flower farm visits, visit to geothermal plant, and watching flamingoes at Lake Oloiden and the crater lake while staying at Loldia house.
Loldia House has 4 ensuite double rooms in the main house and surrounding 3 cottages. Each cottage has a separate 2 bedrooms and surrounded by pretty gardens. The top cottage is built on a hill close to the owner’s house. It has 3 bedrooms, seating room, open log fireplace, and it’s ideal for families and friends traveling together. This cottage offers a stupendous view of the lake and Mt Longonot. The house sleeps a maximum of 20 guests.
Loldia House provides a continental breakfast, traditional Kenyan dishes for lunch and a 4-course meal dinner to its guest. All meals are made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The drinks are soft drinks, beer, house wines and nonpremium spirits. Fine wines, premium spirits and champagne are at an extra cost. Guests of full-day game drives can request picnic packages and those with special diets should not feel left out.
