Richards River Camp is a small and exclusive camp located on banks of ntiak ntiak river in the Mara north conservancy. It was opened in the year 2006 by Richard and Liz who referred to this place as a home away from home. It is among the 11 private camps located in this conservancy and it overlooks the Ngoyanai natural springs where most of the animals come to quench their thirst.
Richards River Camp has a lounge with comfortable seats around a fancy table giving a friendly environ with neutral and earthly tone pallets. The dining area has elegant chairs and a long table. When the weather allows, you will have your lunch outdoors under candle lit tables with a calm and quiet surrounding, breakfast buffets on the Mara plains, have a taste of the African traditional Kenyan food and enjoy the communal dining moment. The bar offers you with soft drinks beers, house wines and chosen house spirits. Mineral waters are provided in your rooms.
Richards River Camp has 7 tents decorated by Liz’s fabrics that she has been collecting on her travels. Enjoy a view of the surrounding on the directors chair on the verandah or swing a seat on the trees nearby the tent. Inside the tents are chairs, tables and double or twin beds. Ensuite facilities such as the bathroom, flushing loos, outdoor showers and instant hot running waters are found at the back of the tent.
