Saasab is the Samburu name for a local white flowering shrub (a sub-specie of ipomoea) that grows in this area. Saasab luxury tented camp is located in the northern frontier district which extends from Samburu up right to Kenya’s northernmost borders. Due to it being located just outside the Samburu national reserve to the west. guests visiting Saasab luxury tented camp enjoy greater levels of freedom to explore the wilderness and its abundant wildlife without the restrictions of being inside the park itself.
Saasab luxury tented camp has 9 luxurious tents built on a raised surface such that the room overlook the Ewaso Nyiro river, the Laikipia plateau and the Mt Kenya. These rooms are built in a Moroccan -Swahili style with thatched roofs, cool polished concrete floors, sun lounges and a plunge pool. Each room has four poster beds, enormous bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, mosquito net, hairdryer, safe boxes, Kenyan toiletry, swimming towel, torch, bedside table, writing desk, laundry, skipping rope, yoga mat, a standing fan, cotton dressing gowns and slippers, insect repellants and a two way radio in case of an emergency. It has 7 double tents with king sized beds, a standard lounging space and winding gravel pathways. Tent 4 is close to the dining center making it best preferred to the people with less mobility. Tent 4 and 6 can be considered as twin rooms and upon request during your booking, you can be provided with a babycott or an extra bed. Tent 8 and 9 are the family suites; such an exclusive villa with separate access than the rest. It has a double and twin ensuite bedrooms. Families are allowed to have their private dining as they enjoy the riverside views. These rooms are also best for friends and group of people who would like to bond.
Saasab luxury tented camp have different dinning experience. You can enjoy meals at the restaurant and in the bush. With a bit of fun time, you can take a drink or alcohol, at the bar. The chefs will be delighted to prepare something special for an intimate wedding with not more than 24 guest. Special meals are offered once requested while you can enjoy a poolside reception of pizza. The Saasab luxury tented camp has a friendly warm hospitable staffs and facilities. You can get a relaxation meditation at the gym and spa. There is a dining venue, boma, viewing deck and services such as babysitting and flight transfers. Guests can head out to an exciting night game drive and a spotlight to discover some of the nocturnal creatures that live around the camp. Guests can explore Westgate Conservancy on foot on a guided nature walk, enabling them to get closer to some smaller creatures or even ride camels or quadbikes as they have a fun time viewing the wilderness.
