This is an unfenced eco-lodge found in the Samburu national reserve and its built under the Kigelia and acacia trees. It has en suite tents which are crafted from natural materials including trees felled by elephants, and those that stand in the woodland by the Ewaso Ngiro river. It is guided by the eco principles such that their foods are locally sourced from the foothills of Mount Kenya while some are grown in their organic farm in Naivasha. Wastes are carefully managed and the non-organic ones are being recycled. They are closely connected to saving the elephants. Elephant Watch camp is a part of the elephant watch portfolio.
it has 6 spacious tents with thatched roofs built under the trees. It has a king size bed, feather pillows, bedside lamps, clean fluffy towels, kanga bathrobes, bush cupboard with hanging spaces and shelves, expanded verandah, ensuite bathrooms and showers under its own tree and shade, daily laundry, natural skin and hair products, eco loos that use minimum water and a soft flowing clothes cascade to the floor that can be drawn across the windows at night. The rooms have a chunky wooden-framed sitting with plenty of colorful cushions beside a black coffee table.
Elephant watch camp- Samburu offers an international cuisine. It has no specific menu as the staffs and guest discuss on what meal will be preferred. You will have a privileged to explore the Italian and African dishes at most. Your room will be filled with cold mineral water either in a thermos or in a glass water bottle. You will be delighted to have a morning tea, coffee, or fresh juice with home made biscuits in from your room as you walk out to the dining place. The waters are drawn from the protected well. The camp is circulated with solar power which runs the electricity, fridge and the freezer.
