Sarara Treehouse is a hidden land of unparalleled beauty and co existence, perched on the rocky outcrop at the foot of Mathews range. Sarara means meeting place in Samburu language as this area is where the Samburu came singing as they dug the wells for water to their cattle. This safari house is located in Namunyak wildlife conservancy, 8 hour drive from Nairobi and 25 minutes drive from Sarara camp. It was opened by pier and Hillary Bastard in the year 2018.
Sarara Treehouse has a lounge and dining area that is thatch roofed and open sided with the views of the forest. Enjoy fresh and tasty flavored foods in the communal dining area. Sarara Treehouse has 8 tents raised up in the forest allowing animals to roam beneath it. There are 4 rooms that are closer to the central area and 4 more tucked deep in the forest. The rooms are classified into twin, triple and doubles with no specific family room. The closely packed rooms can be used as family rooms. Each room has a cotton linen, dressing gown, lockbox, plug socket, torch, and drinking water.
