Thomson Falls Lodge is located besides Thomson falls. The Thomson falls was first discovered by Joseph Thomson and named it after his father in 1883. He built a house beside the falls and used to accommodate other explorers who visited the area. The main cottage became to small and he decided to build 32rooms around the main house and lend them at a fee. The aim of Thomson Falls Lodge is to be a leading hospitality establishment in a breathtaking site. The Thomson Falls Lodge is built in Nyahururu, Laikipia was originally part of the indigenous forest. It is 175km from Nairobi and 101km from Nanyuki airstrip. This 3 star hotel built 32 self contained in 1931. It has a conference hall that can hold up to 350 delegates.
Thomson Falls Lodge original main house is currently the main restaurant, bar, reception and kitchen on the ground floor. The garden restaurant has an outside seating, it can also offer take away foods, it is accessible by wheelchair, late night seating is not prohibited, availability of catering services and ability to satisfy special diets. This is the best spot for a quiet lunch with the views of the Thomson falls. The cuisine used available is African, American and Chinese.
