According to experts, the gravitational pull of test hill is uneven, while gravity scholars state that some areas are closer to the equator thus experiencing a slightly weaker gravitational pull than those farther away.

11. Lake Chala in the Kenya-Tanzania border

Feeling the atmosphere of the border, Lake Chala is located near Lake Jipe. This is a crater lake that straddles the border between Kenya and Tanzania. It is a 100m-deep crater lake where you can have a breathtaking experience as you watch ripple peacefully through the lake in shimmering light.

12. Mzima springs Tsavo west

From the wild to the waters, Mzima Springs is located in Tsavo West National Park 48km from Mutito Andei. The spring is a natural reservoir beneath the Chyulu hills to the north and flows into one of the tributaries of the Tsavo River. You can take a hike along the ponds paths and springs. You can enjoy viewing animals from the glass windowed viewing room which provides an aquatic view of the flora and fauna.

13. The three sister caves in Fikirini Tswaka village

Have a stop at the ancient caves. These caves are namely; Mdenyenye, Pagani, and Kisimani. They all have cultural artifacts of the Digo people. Mdenyenye is the largest and it has a wooden staircase that was built by the locals and was used as a hideout for the villagers who were running away from slave traders. Pagani has several chambers that were used for prayers and rest. Kisimani has a freshwater well that never runs dry. Kisimani is home to thousands of bats and baboons and monkeys can easily be spotted as they quench their thirst.

14. Haunted pillar of Mbaraki

The forgotten masterpiece was revealed. This is a 300-year-old pillar that stands 50 feet tall on the west side of the Likoni ferry roundabout. It is the second oldest monument after Fort Jesus and one of the most contentious areas on the Kenyan coast. According to the folks, Arab spirits reside within its walls and possess a powerful magical healing ability.

15. Mirafa Hells kitchen in Malindi

A sacred place for the Giriama ancestors. It’s also known as Cucinq del Diavolo. The sandstone layer cake color reveals whites, pink, oranges, and deep crimson marking the gorge attractive especially at sunset when the sun’s ray reflects on the ribbed sand gullies.

16. Mida creek in Watamu Malindi

Close it up in the wide, healthy beds of seagrass and coral. It is located 5 km south of Watamu and it has completely different flora and fauna resulting in a unique ecosystem. It is best explored by boat or kayak because there are so many small channels and passages through the mangrove to explore where kingfishers hunt in the shallow waters and fish eagles perch in the overhead trees.
