Accommodation Summary
The 8 days city to bush safari Kenya is where in the morning, you feed a giraffe by hand at the Giraffe Centre, five minutes from a Nairobi hotel. By afternoon, you are watching a lion kill on an open savannah in the Masai Mara. Kenya compresses the contrast between the human world and the wild world more completely than anywhere else on Earth — and this eight-day itinerary is built to show you exactly that.
The 8 Days City to Bush Safari begins in Nairobi with a curated city day: the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where orphaned baby elephants are raised by human carers until they can return to the wild; the Giraffe Centre, where Rothschild’s giraffes eat from your palm at eye level; and the Karen Blixen Museum in the leafy suburb that still feels like the colonial farmstead of “Out of Africa.” Then the city disappears behind you.
Over the following days, the safari moves through Kenya’s three signature wildlife destinations — Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Lake Nakuru — delivering the Big Five, the flamingo lake, the elephant herds, and the Kilimanjaro backdrop in a single coherent, expertly guided circuit. Every transition is managed by Denki Travels, every lodge is personally selected, and every morning begins with a coffee in the bush before the animals start moving. This is the definitive Kenya first-timer’s itinerary. It leaves nothing important out.
