Elephant orphanage and Giraffe center tour Overview
The elephant orphanage and giraffe center tour in Nairobi is the perfect recipe to experience three very interesting animals: baby elephants, rhinos, and giraffes…… name them.
You will start by visiting the elephant orphanage and then later on proceed to the giraffe center. At the orphanage, you will have an opportunity to interact with the orphaned baby elephants. They are brought up here before they are taken back to the wild due to the loss f their mothers.
They are fed with milk using giant bottles; a very interesting experience worth trying. Once they grow up, they are taken back to the wild either at Amboseli national park or Masai Mara. This tour takes exactly one hour since this is the feeding time.
After the orphanage, you will proceed to the giraffe center. Here you will come up close with these towering creatures; the Giraffes. You will have a chance to feed them using grass pellets. You will learn about the most endangered giraffe species in Kenya; Roth’s child giraffe, their behaviors, and feeding habits.
The elephant orphanage and giraffe center tour among other city tours is the best way f experiencing Nairobi’s most visited places and breaking the monotony from the city’s skyscrapers. While on your tour, you can also buy some souvenirs along the way to gift your loved ones back home or still keep them to store the best memories you just had in Nairobi.
